This policy explains what information theatrebuilding.org collects, why, and what you can do about it. The site is an independent publication run by SungChul Kim.
What this site collects
- Comments. If you leave a comment, the site stores the name, email address and comment text you submit, together with your IP address and browser user agent. This is standard WordPress behaviour and is used for spam detection.
- Email you send us. If you write to theatrebuilding@naver.com, we keep the message so we can reply and follow up.
- Server logs. The web server records requests, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics about which pages are read and which search queries lead here.
The site does not sell personal information and does not ask you to create an account.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies so you do not have to type them again. These last one year. WordPress also sets short-lived cookies when an administrator logs in; those do not apply to readers.
Third-party services described below may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Google services
This site uses Google Search Console and Google Site Kit to see how pages perform in search. These report aggregated data — impressions, clicks, queries — not the identity of individual readers.
This site intends to display advertising through Google AdSense. When advertising is active, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites, and may use web beacons or similar technologies for the same purpose. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors generally at aboutads.info/choices. Google describes its own handling of data in its policy for partner sites.
Embedded content from other sites
Articles may embed video or other content from other websites, such as YouTube. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited that website: it may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with it, under that site’s policy rather than this one.
How long data is kept
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up replies make sense. Email correspondence is kept as long as it is useful for the matter it concerns. Server logs are rotated and discarded on a short cycle.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data this site holds about you, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to theatrebuilding@naver.com. Deletion does not extend to data that must be kept for security or legal reasons.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
